Katie E. Vivian
Katie practices in all areas of the firm, with a concentration on business litigation and transactions.
Katie joined the firm after graduating near the top of her class at Wayne State University Law School. While in law school, Katie earned several scholarships and accolades, including the President’s Scholar Scholarship, Legal Leadership Scholarship, and Silver Key Award. She also was a member of the school’s Mock Trial program, served as its Commissioner, and won the all-school Mock Trial competition. She was President of the Entrepreneurship Business Law Society and a Teacher’s Assistant for corporate law classes.
In addition, while in law school, Katie gained valuable real-world experience working in the legal departments of major corporations. She interned with General Motors, Kelly Services, GKN, and Federal-Mogul, where she worked on commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, corporate processes and governance, outside negotiation, and dispute resolution.
Prior to law school, Katie graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Finance, earning a spot on the Dean’s List and a 3.7 grade point average at the Eli Broad College of Business. She also was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
